All the meals were excellent, and the serves were more than adequate. I was surprised at how busy it was for a Wednesday night but the service was extremely well done. Water glasses were filled without wait staff being intrusive. All staff were friendly and with Dave Brubeck playing quietly in the background it was a really nice atmosphere for a family dinner. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at the Balcony Restaurant. Even though it was New Year's Eve, and the staff were clearly very busy, the food and service was excellent. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Adelaide. (January, 2011)

Top notch in every area!! Sitting outside watching the trams and world go by - who would think you were in Adelaide?! All dishes ordered were divine - high quality ingredients used, and cooked to perfection! The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful. We found it to be a great place for a lazy Saturday afternoon lunch. (February, 2008)
EATABILITY
Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Decided to have dinner at the balcony restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday, and try a new place. The atmosphere was really good, good lighting, nice view depending on where you are seated, and really nice waitresses (always carrying smiles on their faces). We both had stone grill beef for mains, and we really enjoyed the experience of "cooking" our dinner. I also really liked the glass water bottles (but thats just me) 1 star - for good waitresses (smiles are always appreciated) 1 star - for good food 1 star - for a good view 1 star - for an overall good night the only thing that I would have liked was for the candle to stay lighted for our entire meal, but given we were there a little later into the night, I understand why the candles started going out. Overall nice place, will certainly return again. (9 Jun, 2011).
Went here for some dinner before heading out to watch some local bands play. Have to say was very impressed with the menu, quality of the food and the overall experience. Once we had finished watching the bands at another bar, we tracked back here to enjoy the beer garden.
Love it here! Downstairs is a chilled crowd (most of the time) whilst upstairs the restaurant is amazing! Very fair priced meals and highly recommended if you want a nice quiet meal. Also try and get a table overlooking North Tce - quality stuff! Wonderful staff always up for a chat. Right across on the road from the Casino and a quick walk from many quality hotels. The Strath works well as a pub and I'll be heading back again soon.
Great pub to enjoy a quiet drink with friends... excellent meals a good variety.
