“WHAT A GREAT PUB!”

Finding a good pub with hearty meals, good staff and a rollicking atmosphere is like discovering gold, and the Strathmore Hotel on North Terrace in Adelaide is a veritable gold-mine.This place is packed with hungry and appreciative diners every night, so go early and stay late, you will love the Strathmore experience. The steaks, according to my fellow diners are the best in town, particularly on the stone grill and likewise with the vegetarian specials, and the pizzas are masterpieces to put the fast food outlets to shame.Whether you choose the courtyard, the main indoor restaurant or the street tables, this place just has that X-Factor magic so rare in hotels nowadays. The wine specials were excellent and light on the wallet.I only wish I could transport this beaut pub back to my hometown on the Gold Coast, which has systematically transformed its hotels into plastic and chrome barns. So I raise a metaphorical glass to the Strathmore, its Chefs and great staff.Cheers, and thanks for the memories!

“Adelaide Delight”

The Balcony Restaurant in the Strathmore Hotel in Adelaide is one of my favourite places to eat with great food, top service and good value for money. The atmosphere on the balcony overlooking North Terrace is delightful and the staff are always friendly and cooperative. All our dishes were delivered quickly and we couldn’t fault anything on the night. Well worth a visit.

“A great place to stop before a show at the Festival Centre.”

We enjoyed a nice view of North Terrace, a glass of wine and a shared platter before going to a concert. The staff knew that we had a time restriction and worked quickly but without seeming rushed, to have us fed and on our way with time to spare. I have been back and will visit again. Lovely staff.
